SITGES MUNICIPAL LIBRARY & ARCHIVE

Slogan: "Tot Parc"

Ideas competition of the construction of the library and the municipal archives of Sitges.

The solution adopted incorporates the site and proposed building to the adjacent newly created park. From here, the library and archive building is generated by extending the pedestrian circulations of the park in order to connect with the network of streets located west of the neighbourhood.  The building is conceived as a large roof crossed by footpaths, formed by beams of variable frequency and dimension depending on the program below as well as the spanning, and placed in the optimal position for optimum sunscreen.
