BERGANTES RIVER SPA

As if of some ruins were, the new spa building is conceived as a solid ceramic block emptied and flooded with water, and covered with a vaulted tiled ceiling.  Far from the conventional concept of pool basin and adjacent beach, we propose a space articulated by means of raw brick walls forming a network of endless routes, both public and private, with or without water, through which the visitor can wander and discover remote spaces.  It is all about the game of search and discovery, inside and outside the water, spaces far away from the daily humdrum, sensual and bare spaces bathed with light coming from above.
